If you ever need to know where an image is located on the web in order to paste the URL somewhere it is very easy to find.
There are a couple of techniques to finding the URL for an image. Here we will go over 2 of them.
1. By right-clicking on an image you can pull up a menu with several options. The first way to grab an image url is to select ‘Copy Image Location’. You will also see that there is a menu option for ‘properties’. Clicking ‘properties’ will bring up a box containing the image location as well. Please see the below 2 images for examples:
2. If you right-click and do not see the option to copy the image url or can’t find the properties of the image then the image reference probably resides in the .CSS file. First view the image by clicking ‘View Background Image’ and then repeat step 1 to get the image location (URL).
These techniques will help you find any image URL in most cases. Sometimes developers are tricky and can hide these things so put on your sleuth hat and get your magnifying glass!
